I am from grains from corn boiling on the pot.
I'm from music playing loud in the backround.
I'm from being told "NO"
and a lot of let down
I am the shadow of my brother and the dust he left behind.
I'm from the glass-ups and the glass let-downs.
I'm from the stiches in my lip
and the broken bone in my arm.
I'm from my mother's love
and my father's care
